Hi everyone, I’m not one to talk about myself (although my friends would probably beg to differ) but there’s a first time for everything J.
My background is within Human Resources and Recruitment. I have been told that I am very much a people’s person, whether it is building and maintaining relationships to matching candidates to the right company – not to toot my own horn but I can definitely say this is a skill that I have mastered with years of experience. My first ever office job was working for a recruitment agency, where I worked my way up from a recruitment assistance to a managed service/ HR consultant. This is when I realised I really enjoyed the working life (and the thought of going to university kind of went out the window).
My greatest motivation is my son – I must say he is a typical boy pulling his toys apart to find out how they work but he definitely keeps me going. I was searching for a new job that was closer to home, that way I would have more time to spend with my son. And that’s when I received a call from Rebecca and Nick at Scout inviting me in for an interview – and I am now working as a HR/Talent Consultant. From my first interview I knew that Scout was my idea of the perfect company to work for, they genuinely are a lovely bunch of people.
Here a few boring facts about me:
My favourite meal: Nandos, Nandos and more Nandos…. You really can’t go wrong with extra hot chicken.
My Favourite place in the world: Any Caribbean island as long as there is a beach and a cocktail in my hand I’m happy.
My favourite word: ‘mate’ – this is a running joke I have with my bestfriend, which literally use the word ‘mate’ to replace actual sentences (weird I know)
My beverage of choice: A large glass of Rosè wine always goes down well after a long week at work
Things that annoy me the most: When I have just finished cleaning the house and my son decides it is the perfect time to take out every single one of his toys (clearly tidy up time means nothing in my house)
