Our thoughts on the best Christmas Ads of 2015!
So we have taken a straw pole in the office and had a few chats about the latest Christmas ads to grace the TV at the moment and ere are the results! It is a little bit of a mixed bag this year, but hats (Santa hats of course) off to Boots, Curry’s PC World and Sainsbury’s for 2015! Or AMV BBDO and Mother of course!
Boots ‘Discover more’ – Jessie J sings beautifully in this highly festive and very well choreographed TVC. Just makes you want to go to the shops and get all your Christmas shopping done! Slightly ‘Marks & Spencer’ looking I must say but they have spent a very good sum of money on this and it looks amazing.
Currys PC World ‘Spare the Act’ – This definitely took a couple of viewings to sink in but this has got to be up there with the funniest and most different take on Christmas we have seen for quite a while! Jeff was probably paid a lot of money to appear but all of the acting/casting is fab and it certainly is memorable. Well done planning team as well – great insight!
Sainsbury’s ‘Mog the cat’ – pretty much all of us are parents in the office so this struck a particularly strong chord with us! My kids love this book so to see it re-enacted on the TV was particularly special. Great link up with Save the Children as well and we are sure will send Sainsbury’s sales soring!
A special mention to a personal fave of mine – the original ‘Holidays are coming’ Coca-Cola ad which has been gracing our screens for 20 years now! You know Christmas is round the corner when you see this on screen! Still love it though…
