The wonderful owners of Scout organised a team day out at Royal Ascot, which for most of us, was the first time that we would be attending this event. Royal Ascot is Britain’s most valuable race meeting, it is known for it’s spectacle of fashion and style but most of all it’s known for attracting many of the world’s finest race horses who compete to win the famous ‘Gold Cup’.
We started the day in Windsor with a few bottles of bubbly and of course Rebecca’s famous gluten free Lasagne which went down extremely well. It was lovely to see the men in their suits and the women dressed to impress – and I must say as a team we scrub up pretty well (don’t just take my word for it we have pictures to prove).
At around 12pm we began to make our Way to Ascot, with another bottle of bubbly, a theme that stuck for the rest of the afternoon!
What a day! The venue, the dresses and hats, the atmosphere! We even saw the Queen in her very brightly coloured outfit. So much fun and at last count I think we pretty much all ended up winning overall.
A few sore heads in the morning but nothing bacon butties in the office and lots of coffee couldn’t fix.
Same time next year team?
