My first 3 months at Scout Talent have been crazy, mad, fast paced, exhilarating and I’ve loved every minute of it. The team has been very welcoming and I feel that I fit right in and also adopting the nickname ‘Youngie’ because of the age gap to all the so called oldies. It is a small team but at times you would think there are 30 of us in the office. We all have our separate personalities with 2 Lions, a dolphin, a koala and a Falcon (go to icould.com to see what you are) all in the same room, but together as a collective, we are a well oiled machine knuckling down to get the work done.
My duties have now become a lot more familiar to me than when I first started. I am now able to think on my feet and do things without having to be asked, such as putting job posts up onto our website and job sites, as soon as I get a specification. I make sure the job role has its own personal reference, which is created on our database. I keep the job lists are up to date, so that the team know the roles that they are looking for and to help plan for the future.
I am now in charge of the social media of Scout. I write blog posts every so often to keep it fresh, so our readers get to know what Scout are up to and what our interests are. I keep our twitter account fresh with posts each day, so to interact with our followers, and getting responses to some of the questions we ask. Ultimately my aim is to increase our follower base and try to potentially increase our candidates and clients.
The apprenticeship scheme has been amazing. The work really does help you understand a lot more about working life. . It also helps you get a greater and more in-depth understanding of the sector you are working in. tourist attractions It’s a great way to learn about a field of work you are interested and fascinated in, and it really has a motivational factor. I am always keen to learn and with this apprenticeship I know I will be able to stretch and push myself to my full ability, furthermore use what I have learnt in practice and support this practice into writing and allow myself to express my knowledge of the sector into my written work for the apprenticeship.
