I’ve had a whirlwind first few weeks here at Scout. First impressions – great team working on some really interesting roles.
However most enlightening moment has been my attempt at cycling into the office. It was a decent effort and took well over an hour each way, tiring but made me feel super virtuous. . windows server It did make me wonder about the link between exercise and success. In my time I’ve worked for many a MD and account director, armed with gym bag, bicycle or funky running trainers.
We all know exercise is good for you but what impact does it have on your career?
According to the experts the psychological benefits are many:
- Improved mood
- Higher self-esteem
- Enhanced brain function
- Reduced mental fatigue
- Diminished anxiety
And that’s on top of looking better in your jeans – go figure.
The studies show a correlation between higher earnings and exercise so I guess it’s time we all get on our bikes – literally! I’m def feeling inspired to give it another go – watch this space for an update!
