I have officially been working at the Scout Hut for 3 months now and I must say my time here so far has been really enjoyable. The environment at Scout is very much work hard, play hard 😉
My dual role as a HR & Talent Consultant has been an interesting one. I am currently working half of my time at Scout and the other half I am seconded to one of our Clients as their dedicated HR Manager. Balancing my time and workload between the two companies has been the biggest challenge for me, but everyone has been extremely supportive. HR and Recruitment has always been my passion and it is an area of work that I just love, in an environment that is fast paced, crazy and creative.
My greatest motivations in my dual role is definitely the financial aspect of the recruitment role (who doesn’t like extra money!) but also the confidence that the companies have in my ability as the HR Manager.
Scout is a family orientated environment. We get on so well and do all that we can to support each other (I have definitely made some amazing friends). The way we treat our Clients and Candidates is second to none and this is shown in the positive feedback we get on a daily basis. Scout is in no way a standard recruitment agency, our work is centred around Candidate and Client satisfaction and not merely placing a candidate and billing the Client for it. We ask:
1) does that Candidate have the right skills?
2) will they fit into the culture of the Client?
3) how will the role benefit both parties?
So far I have had an amazing time working between both companies and I look forward to see what the future holds for me and my career at Scout.
